In today's episode on the Do Roboty! channel, I'm tackling a legendary profession: FIREFIGHTER! This time, not at the State Fire Service, but at the Volunteer Fire Department (OSP) in Trzebnica! I want to find out if it's a job, a passion, or a service, and what it's like to raise money for a rescue! My expert, Fabian, shows us that the OSP is 100% passionate and constantly ready to save lives, often without any income! In this video, you'll learn: 🚨 RESCUE OPERATION (live!): I'll show you what a real emergency looks like (Florian alarm system) and how, in a split second, firefighters drop everything to get changed and leave (the time from signal to departure is often less than a minute!). You'll see them leaving with their siren blaring and in full gear! 💰 FINANCE and EQUIVALENT: How much do they earn? Nothing! Volunteer Fire Department firefighters are volunteers. Although there's a financial compensation for their trips (e.g., 10 to 15 PLN per hour), many units forgo this money in favor of equipment. 🚒 EQUIPMENT LIKE THE PSP: You'll see that the OSP doesn't necessarily mean inferior equipment! I'll show you a heavy-duty truck (5,000 liters of water) and a medium-duty truck (technical rescue). They have hydraulic shears, spreaders, and breathing apparatus – equipment worth hundreds of thousands! 🎓 HOW TO JOIN THE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER? You must be at least 18 years old, physically fit, and have completed the basic firefighter-rescuer course offered by the State Fire Service. 💪 TRAINING UNDER PRESSURE: I personally don full uniform (combat pants, helmet, mask, breathing apparatus – over 20 kg!) and pass a fitness test, learning how to rescue a victim. This is extreme exertion! Important: VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS must be available at all times, despite work, vacations, or events. At least six people must always be ready to go.
