How to Install a Loaded Subwoofer & Amp Rack | GMC Sierra / Chevy Silverado | Ten87 Design

In this video, we walk through a complete installation of the Ten87 Design Loaded Subwoofer Amplifier Rack in a GMC Sierra / Chevy Silverado. This is the full process, start to finish — nothing skipped: rear seat removal, running a 0-gauge power and ground kit from the battery to the back wall, mounting the amp rack on the factory studs, plug-and-play connection to the factory amplifier, and installing the under-seat subwoofer enclosure with remote bass knob. Why we run ground to the battery: These trucks use adhesive bonding throughout the body, which creates high resistance through the chassis ground path. A poor ground will damage aftermarket electronics — so both power AND ground run directly to the battery. No factory wiring is cut in this install. What's covered: ▸ Rear seat & headrest removal (10mm bolts + seat latches) ▸ Fuse holder mounting at the battery — no load on factory fusing ▸ Power & ground routing down the firewall and along the frame rail ▸ Drilling & sealing with watertight cable glands (1-1/8" hole for 0GA, 3/4" for 4GA) ▸ Amp rack mounting on factory studs — parking sensor module & inverter relocate right back in place ▸ Plug-and-play harness connection at the factory amplifier ▸ Under-seat subwoofer enclosure install ▸ Remote bass knob routed from the steering column ▸ Seat foam trimming for amplifier clearance CHAPTERS 0:00 – Rear Seat Removal 6:49 – Removing Under-Seat Storage & Jack 8:11 – Mounting the Fuse Holder & Battery Power Connection 19:30 – Ground Connection at the Battery 23:37 – Routing Power & Ground Down the Firewall 29:23 – Running Wire Along the Frame Rail 47:48 – Drilling & Installing Watertight Cable Glands 58:24 – Removing the Parking Sensor Module & Inverter 59:55 – Mounting the Loaded Amplifier Rack 1:02:23 – Amplifier Power & Ground Connections 1:10:27 – Connecting to the Factory Amplifier (Plug & Play) 1:12:42 – Remote Bass Knob Connection 1:13:36 – Routing the Bass Knob Wire to the Rear 1:25:01 – Installing the Subwoofer Enclosure 1:27:04 – Trimming Rear Seat Foam & Wrap-Up GET THE PRODUCTS 🔊 Loaded Subwoofer Amplifier Rack: https://soundsgoodstereo.com/collecti...
