Round 1 of the Cook Out Summer Shootout is in the books — and I strapped into the 63 for some door-to-door Legend car racing under the Charlotte Motor Speedway lights. 🏁 If you've never seen a Legend car in person, picture a 5/8-scale 1930s coupe with a screaming Yamaha motor, a couple dozen of us packed onto the frontstretch quarter-mile, racing inches apart. It's chaos in the best way — and I'm hooked. A little about me: I'm 47, I run Midlife Classic Cars by day, and I race the 63 white coupe by night. One foot in the grave, one foot on the throttle.
