Norton Commando Engine Rebuild. Part 12: Removing the Timing Cover
This is one of a series of videos covering the full dismantling, restoration and rebuild of a Norton Commando engine and gearbox. This particular video shows the timing cover being removed from the crankcases. With the points removed the screws are removed from around the casing. After this the case is gently heated to soften any non-hardening gasket sealant that may have been used previously and then gently levering the cover loose with a piece of wood behind the oil pressure relief valve.
