Meta has reversed course and removed the Muse Image feature that allowed users to use photos from public Instagram accounts to generate new images using artificial intelligence. The tool had been activated automatically and sparked criticism regarding privacy, consent, and the misuse of users' images. Just three days after its launch, Meta itself admitted that the feature "missed the mark."
