BNSF 1776 and 2026 Sesquicentennial Locos Mini Chase

In Mid-July of 2026, BNSF sent two of their new Sesquicentennial locomotives, numbers 1776 and 2026, west from Chicago leading two different Z trains. Unfortunately, the 1776 came through my area at night, and the 2026 right around dawn. I was able to catch the 2026 in low lighting conditions a couple of times just west of Needles, CA. The following day, each locomotive led a Z train out of LA, and arrived in my area during the day, though not in ideal lighting conditions for an eastbound. I was able to catch each one twice (though my first shot of the 1776 got skunked by a couple engine-lengths). On the plus side, the day was relatively mild for mid-July...only 100 degrees...but it was a bit cloudy and VERY windy, so I had to make due with those conditions. A total of 4 shots of the 2026 and 2 of the 1776 are complemented by a handful of the other trains I caught while out.
