Custom First Gear Diecast Garbage Trucks Compilation
So this video has been long overdue. I meant to make a video showcasing my First Gear fleet a while ago, but I never got around to it. However it gave me time to add some extra cosmetic details to some of my trucks. My NorCal Waste Systems Heil Python was the first truck I ever attempted to paint. Some of you older viewers might have seen the one where it was literally hand-painted with a brush. It was very poorly made lol. Some time ago I took off the original body, obtained another body, and spray painted it. ►Custom painted arm with spill shield ►Custom painted frame ►Custom painted hubs ►Custom signboards ►Custom CNG tank/sticker ►Chrome rims ►DOT numbers, unit numbers, license plates My GreenWaste Recovery Heil Half/Pack was the second truck I attempted to paint. It used to be in the Waste Management "Think Green, Think Clean" livery, but I completely repainted the cab and body to be in GreenWaste Recovery's colors ►Custom painted frame ►Custom painted hubs ►Custom signboards ►DOT numbers, unit numbers, license plates ►Custom spill shield installed on the Curotto Can ►Reflective decals installed on the Curotto Can My California Waste Solutions McNeilus RL was the third truck I attempted to paint, and was arguably the most tedious to paint. I could not remove the cab from the frame, so I had to leave it on, and mask off everything else. It is still not technically complete, as I am waiting for the opportunity to obtain some sticker paper to finish adding the logos and other cosmetic details. ►Custom signboards ►Operating packer blade My WMX Technologies McNeilus RL is the last truck I have in my fleet. The only paint modification I did was add the white band around the cab, as the original truck came with a solid burgundy paint job. The WMX livery came straight from the factory, and was not a hand-done paint job. ►Operating packer blade In the future, I plan on adding more custom trucks to my fleet. As of now, I am debating on either a BFI style livery, or a Consolidated Disposal Service livery as my next project. As always, enjoy the video! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SOCIAL MEDIA/MISCELLANEOUS LINKS ►Instagram: / sanjosecagarbagetrucks ►Facebook: / sanjosecagarbagetrucks ►Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/people/1463061... ►SJRecycles: https://sanjoserecycles.org/ ►SJ Collection Day Lookup: https://www.sanjoseca.gov/your-govern... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMERS: ►The trucks you see in the video are not, and will never be for sale. That being said, I do not do custom paint jobs for people except under certain circumstances (local retirement gift, etc.) ►I do not proclaim to be a "professional" diecast painter. I am still quite new to the hobby. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ©2020 Garbage Trucks of San Jose. All Rights Reserved.
