Divine Service with the Chief Apostle – Bengaluru, 21 September 2025 Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider based the sermon on Luke 10:3 - “Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.” He reminded us that God is almighty, but above all, He loves us. Jesus has chosen us to proclaim His kingdom here and now, and our true victory lies in being faithful, doing good, and remaining obedient to God until the end. We are not sent to convert the world, but to be a sign that God loves us, that His Gospel is truth, and that with His help we can endure. Chief Apostle Helper Helge Mutschler encouraged us that even when the world seems full of wolves, Jesus calls us to go as lambs with humanity, meekness and patience. Even online, when faced with hostility, we are to remember: we are lambs. This verse is a prophecy of the new creation, where wolves and lambs will live together, and we are called to live like that already today. A deeply moving moment was the retirement blessing of District Apostle Helper David Devaraj. The Chief Apostle spoke of Apostle David as a zealous and faithful worker, a man who always responded to God’s call with: “Here I am.” He highlighted how God had prepared him for his ministry and remained with him through every trial. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for the great work Apostle David has accomplished, and gave thanks also for Sister Lily David, whose support and dedication have been integral to his ministry. With deep appreciation, he wished them God’s rich blessing for a peaceful and blessed retirement. The service concluded with a thank-you message from Priest Jones Edward on behalf of the Indian members, followed by a moving presentation of photographs, celebrating Apostle David and Sister Lily’s love, warmth, and tireless service over the years.
