4EUB Reigoldswil–Wasserfallen – 24.6.1988, als die Welt noch einfach war
June 24, 1988, the world was in top shape. The Cold War wasn't over yet, but its shadows were beginning to lift. Gorbachev spoke of glasnost and perestroika, Reagan extended his hand to disarmament – for the first time in decades, a peaceful future seemed within reach. Europe was divided, but people believed in progress, in understanding, in a better time. The music was loud, colorful, and lively, computers were slowly making their way into living rooms, and even the outlook for the future was characterized by curiosity rather than fear. On this very day, a small cabin of the Müller cable car floated leisurely from Reigoldswil up to Wasserfallen. World politics might be changing, but here the world was quite simple: meadows, forests, birdsong, and the gentle rocking and rattling of the gondola. Those sitting inside let their thoughts wander – perhaps to the summit, perhaps back to the valley, perhaps somewhere else entirely. Time didn't stand still, but it moved noticeably slower that day. A summer day in June 1988 – a small, peaceful moment in a large, hopeful world. The Müller cable car, built in 1956 by the Gerhard Müller company from Dietlikon, was already a classic at the time. With a length of 1,933 meters, it overcame a vertical drop of 384 meters – from the valley station at 544 meters above sea level to the mountain station at 928 meters above sea level. Twelve steel pylons supported the track, with the longest span measuring an impressive 253 meters. The approximately 36 cabins each accommodated four people and floated up the slope at 2.3 meters per second (approximately 8.3 kilometers per hour). The journey took about 15 minutes I.T June 24, 1988, the world era in perfect condition The War of Fredda was not yet finished, but the ombre came together in diradarsi. Gorbaciov spoke of glass and perestrojka, Reagan tended to have the hand over the disarmo - in the first volta two decades, a future pacifico would be possible. L'Europe era ancora divisa, ma la gente credeva nel progresso, nel dialogueo e in un tempo migliore. The music of the era was forte, color and life, and the computer was initiated within the length of the salotti, and also the sguard of the future era was very curious and timorous. Proprio quel giorno, una piccola cabina della funivia Müller saliva lentamente da Reigoldswil fino alla Wasserfallen. The global politics can also be changed, the world of the era is: prati, boschi, canti d'uccelli e il dolce ondeggiare e sferragliare della gondola. Chi stava dentro lasciava vagare i pensieri – forse verso la vetta, forse giù nella valle, forse altrove. The tempo is not fermava, but every day you can score longer. A giorno d’estate del Giugno 1988 – a piccolo, pacifico momento in a grand world and pieno di speranza. The funivia Müller, made in 1956 by Gerhard Müller from Dietlikon, is now a classic.
