Worship May 3, 2026- Praise and Worship Service

The sacraments are not merely rituals of the church; they are visible, tangible expressions of God's grace. In baptism we are claimed, named, and welcomed into the community of faith. In communion we are fed, sustained, and sent. Both are means of grace: channels through which God works in us, forms us, and calls us to respond with our whole selves. Today's sermon is "Grace You Can See" and comes from 1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Romans 6:1–7. Points from today's sermon: 1) The sacraments are the church's response to God's Word. 2) In baptism, we die to our old selves and rise to new life in Christ. 3) At the Table, we are fed and formed for the journey of faith. *Today's bulletin can be found at FirstChurchNewark.org *Sign up for serving, donating and more at firstchurchnewark.org/signup *Submit your pastoral needs and willingness to serve at firstchurchnewark.org/connection-card *Support the mission and ministry of First Church with your giving: https://first-united-methodist-church...
