Walter Valenite 1.00" Cutter with increased Feed Rate
Machining some 6061 Linear Guide Bearings with our new Walter Valenite 1.00" 2 flute cutter with aluminum specific inserts. We've optimized the tool path by increasing the profiling feed rate from 170 IPM to 360 IPM .462" DOC, .125" WOC. The slot thru the middle is still the same as before, 12,000 RPM 140 IPM 1.00" WOC .382" DOC. Needless to say, very happy with the results, and still have the room to push it more if need be. This tool will definitely pay for itself in short order. A very good investment if you ask me!
