Xining is different than we thought, a lot different. Let alone it is the beginning of the Tibetan plateau there is little Tibetan really - I mean there is, just not at all compared to Muslim culture and food. We did visit the famous Dongguan Mosque and we tried some of the most amazing halal food we ever had, the famous handmade spicy beef noodles of Xining, which were a real treat.
