With less than two weeks to go until the start of the Akita Summer High School Baseball Tournament, the draw for the tournament was held on the 25th. Captains from 35 teams from 41 schools gathered at Akita Chuo High School for the draw, and the atmosphere was tense as the draw took place. Akita Commercial High School, the winner of the spring prefectural tournament and the top seed, will play their first game on July 9th at Komachi Stadium, the first game of the day, against Akita Technical High School, also from Akita City. Second seed Kazuno High School will play against Yuzawa High School in the first game of the day at Sakigake Yabase Stadium on the 9th. The opportunity to deliver the players' oath at the opening ceremony was drawn from among 10 nominees, with Seiya Ito, captain of Omagari Technical High School, drawing the prize.
