Sejarah Bandara Kemayoran (1934–1985): Dari Batavia hingga Jakarta

In 1934, the Dutch East Indies colonial government built Kemayoran Airport in Batavia as an ambitious project to make the city a global aviation gateway. The airport officially opened in 1940 and quickly became a symbol of progress, serving international flights to Europe, Asia, and Australia. During the Japanese occupation, Kemayoran Airport was converted into a military base. After Indonesian independence, the airport resumed operations and developed into Indonesia's main airport, playing a vital role in the history of national aviation. However, with the increasing number of passengers and the rapid development of air transportation, Kemayoran Airport was no longer able to accommodate the needs of modern aviation. In 1985, all flight activities were officially transferred to Soekarno-Hatta Airport. This video takes you through the long journey of Kemayoran Airport—from its glory days as Indonesia's first international airport to the historical traces that remain today amidst the hustle and bustle of modern Jakarta. #KemayoranAirport #AviationHistory #Batavia #OldJakarta #IndonesiaHistory #IndonesianAviation #FirstAirport #ColonialHistory #Kemayoran #JakartaHistory #AviationHistory
