Black & White Portrait Session on Film

This week, I do a fun portrait session of my dear friend, Alicia, around Downtown Orange using only my film camera. Reviewed last week, my Canon Rebel G film camera is loaded with a roll of Ilford HP5= black and white film. Downtown Orange is a great place for portraits as it is full of antique brick buildings, vintage stores, decorated alleyways, and completely full of character. I use a few extra tools to aid in my portraits including a 5-in-1 reflector to help bounce and diffuse the mid-day sunlight, and an incident light meter to accurately calculate my exposure. Hello, my name is Travis LaRiviere and I am a photographer! I have loved the art of photography for many years now. I am self-taught and wish to impart my knowledge back to you. I shoot both digital and film and like to dip into many different subjects. My strongest portfolios include fine art black and white landscape and portraiture. I am based in Anaheim, California and love being able to travel for photo shoots. When I am not on assignment, you will most likely find me at a scenic landscape alone with my film camera capturing the beauty of mother nature. I can't wait to share more information, tips, tricks, and tutorials with you all!
