Gunfighter Skies Airshow Gone Wrong at Mountain Home AFB

Join us today for a very unexpected event at the Gunfighter Skies Airshow at Mountain Home AFB in Idaho. We started out the day as any other, enjoying the airshow, exploring military tanks and planes on display and settling in to watch the event start with a jet car and a few flybys. Unfortunately 2 Navy EA-18s collided and crashed. Thankfulluy all made it out safely and were recovered, however the crash ignited a brush fire and the base locked down for several hours. We were not allowed to leave until everything was safe and clear. We spent the rest of the day viewing more plane displays and even got a free ride in some super cars! The day ended with a pyro display that was supposed to be a part of the airshow. Since they couldnt leave the explosives out there, they had to light them up, so at least we got to see that while waiting to leave. It was a scary day, but fortunately we were all able to go home safe and the boys did have fun.
