Would You Marry This Pakistani Bride?

Today I'm taking you to one of Pakistan's most unique breakfast dishes... the famous Dulhan Paratha (Bride Paratha) at Afzal Cafe in the historic Shahi Bazaar of Hyderabad, Sindh. At first glance it looks like an elaborate wedding platter, but it's actually a single paratha transformed into one of the most over-the-top breakfasts you'll ever see. Café Afzal has been serving this iconic dish for around 50 years, and people travel from across Sindh just to try it. Hidden away in the narrow streets of Hyderabad's old city, this small café has become famous for creating a breakfast unlike anything else. So what exactly is a Dulhan Paratha? It all starts with a freshly cooked paratha, which is then loaded with an incredible variety of toppings and fillings. The version I tried included spicy beef mince, shredded chicken, chopped onions, fresh coriander, green chillies, eggs, cream, crunchy cashew nuts, and a generous sprinkle of chaat masala and spices before being beautifully decorated and served. Every bite is packed with different flavours and textures, making it feel more like a complete feast than a simple breakfast. The combination might sound unusual, but somehow it all works together brilliantly. One of the best things about this dish is the value. The entire Dulhan Paratha costs just Rs. 600 PKR, and it's easily large enough to share between two people, although you may not want to once you taste it! In this vlog I also explore Hyderabad's historic Shahi Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in Sindh, before finally tracking down Afzal Cafe. The winding lanes, traditional shops and early morning atmosphere make the search almost as memorable as the meal itself. If you're planning to visit Hyderabad, Pakistan, I highly recommend adding this to your breakfast list. It's one of those local specialties that you simply won't find anywhere else, and it's easy to see why it has become one of Pakistan's most photographed and talked-about breakfast dishes.
