Remembering Why You Chose To Become A Nurse

As nurses, we have days when we leave work feeling really good about the work we’ve done. And then we have days when we leave wondering why we ever chose this profession, like I bet many of you are thinking now. As I film this video, our entire world is battling the COVID-19 crisis. Not only is this year the year of the nurse, this is the time of year when we celebrate nurses week. Yet, we’re in the middle of a pandemic. It’s hard to celebrate nurses when we’re on the battlefield of a war. However, I encourage all of us to pause for a moment and remember why we chose to become nurses in the first place. Doing so will help ground us as we continue to fight. On this episode of Coffee & Conversations, we’re going to talk about how to fall back in love with nursing by remembering your why. **** I’d love to know why YOU chose to become a nurse.
