The Old Lamplighter - The Original Houghton Weavers

This was my late father's favourite Houghton Weavers song. It was recorded by him somewhere between 1978 and 1980 from the programme 'Sit Thi Deawn' (shown on BBC North West) on to VHS video cassette (Hence the lack of quality). I wish to say a sincere thank you to the Houghton Weavers, whom have given me their kind and full written permission to upload these videos to You Tube. My aim is bring a fresh awareness of the Houghton Weavers to a new public and to celebrate the memory of my father whom adored their works. Please feel free to comment on the videos, but also be aware that I will remove, without any reply or reason, any comments that I deem to be offensive, rude or plain inane.
