A formal change of command ceremony took place on October 2nd in Munster, with Major General Lutz Kuhn handing over command to Colonel Stephan Behrenz. The handover was performed by Brigadier General Alexander Krone, commander of the 1st Panzer Division. Panzer Training Brigade 9 "Niedersachsen" is one of the German Army's major armored units, with approximately 5,300 men and women serving in this traditional unit. It comprises: Reconnaissance Training Battalion 3, Panzergrenadier Battalion 33, Panzergrenadier Training Battalion 92, Panzer Training Battalion 93, Panzer Battalion 203, the German-British Engineer Bridge Battalion 130, and Supply Battalion 141.
