Jean Turk - It's My Turn To Cry (Spaceward Session With Mad Dogs)
The Seelie Court label is back, presenting a vast catalog of almost forgotten and extremely rare sounds spanning the psych, prog, and folk genres. Jean Turk’s Blue On Blue collects previously unreleased studio recordings made in the UK in 1976. The American singer-songwriter is backed by Mad Dogs on the Spaceward session and Axe on the SIS session, with Steve Giles of Dark connected to the recordings. The material moves between raw blues rock, heavy psych and funk-edged rock, led by Turk’s strong vocals and the heavy guitar work of the British musicians around her.
