Riding aboard Amtrak's Borealis and railfanning Red Wing, Minnesota in June of 2026

We are riding aboard Amtrak's Borealis with a final destination of Red Wing, Minnesota. First are some views from on board the train, then our train is seen departing from beautiful downtown Red Wing. The next day my wife and I explored the river town and did some extra railfanning. Some additional views are seen from our hotel room within the historic 1875 built St. James hotel. The final scene is of Amtrak B32-8WH 519 which was an awesome sight to see since these units are getting increasingly rare to see leading road trains. 519 leads the St. Paul bound Borealis away from Red Wing in near perfect light. All filmed from June 9th through June 11th, 2026.
