Releasing records for well over 45 years American singer, songwriter and guitarist (originally a drummer) Christopher Cross was the first recording artist to win four Grammy Awards in the same year. Now having five Grammy Awards and an Oscar to his name along with multiple top ten Billboard Hot 100 hits. He was famously asked to play Guitar on Steely Dan’s albums but declined because “he was so intimidated”. However he has collaborated with numerous people from Michael McDonald to Burt Bacharach. Christopher Cross is currently back touring playing old favourites and more unknown songs. Having turned 75 on May 3rd this year when he played a concert in Paris he certainly hasn’t lost his musical gifts. With an amazing backing band this concert at York Barbican Centre was terrific. This is the song that won Christopher an Oscar for the Soundtrack to the film “Arthur” with Dudley Moore. It is called “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)”. Enjoy The Music. Big Love ❤️ to All.
