The DreamStation 2 is a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad CPAP

Right now, some people have no choice but to accept and purchase a Philips DreamStation 2 when being prescribed CPAP. Rumor has it that the company is also going to be replacing at least some original DreamStation PAP devices affected by the #foamgate recall with this new machine. This is an outrage. The DreamStation 2 is a horrible piece of medical equipment. It's poorly designed, cheaply made, and seems about as durable as Christmas ornament from Dollar General. The original DreamStation is carcinogenic, for goodness' sake, and it's still a better CPAP than the DreamStation 2. Worst of all, Philips has encrypted the data recorded to the SD card so that you can't monitor and tweak your own therapy. Your doctor can see your therapy data. Your DME can. Your insurance company can. But you can't. In this critical review, I break down all of the problems with this beautiful piece of trash, and recommend that, if you have any other options at all for your PAP therapy, please take them.
