Wind and waves lash the North Sea coast, causing land erosion of about 2 meters per year. The wind also pushes kilometers of shifting dunes about 15 meters further each year, devouring entire forests in the process. In this film, I show coastal erosion using historical comparative footage, as well as the astonishingly diverse flora and fauna in the planted forests, heaths, and inland dunes.
