Lowrance Gigabit Ethernet Network Upgrade - Is it time to upgrade?

We upgraded the Ethernet in our boat to the new Lowrance Gigabit Ethernet. It was done in two stages to give you an idea if it is worth the cost and effort. We have 3 tests to measure the performance so that there are real numbers for comparison. The tests are loading maps such as Navionics, selecting the Active Target page, and selecting the FishReveal sidescan transducer. We'll also look at some subjective items, especially with the maps. The goal is to help you decide if it is time to upgrade or do you rig your new boat with the new network. These are new components so they may be hard to locate.
