SASHIKO What is the best Sashiko thread? I stitched with 5 different types of threads to compare
Thank you for watching! Here is the video that I showed Sashiko supplies and items I brought back from my trip to Japan: • Sashiko supplies and items I brought back ... How to draw and stitch the Kaku-shippou pattern is in this video here: • I tried to stitch Sashiko on a jute market... My conclusion in this video is that the best thread would change depending on your purpose of Sashiko. I have been using thicker threads for most projects and they were all great especially when the pattern is large. The patterns stitched with thicker threads are clear from distance. However, they may cause issues when you are stitching on a thinner and softer fabric. In this video, it was much easier to stitch when I used a thinner thread including non-Sashiko threads. I have been using the 4-ply threads for pretty much everything, but I will be more aware of thread thickness in the future! 00:00 Introduction 01:41 My usual Sashiko thread 03:28 6-ply Sashiko thread 05:48 4-ply Sashiko thread 06:49 Pearl cotton 08:05 Standard embroidery thread 09:26 The review
