Moment Distribution Method | Analysis of Indeterminate Beam

This video explains in detail how to obtain moments using moment distribution method for a indeterminate beam having different moment if inertia. Moment Distribution method is one of the commonly used method in the structural analysis of the indeterminate structures. In this method four major steps are involved. In first step we have discussed how to find fixed end moments for the given loading condition. Second step is all about calculating the distribution factors which play a important role in the moment distribution table to calculate final moments. In third step we discussed in detail how to arrive at the final moments with the distribution table and also explained about balancing and carry over moments concepts, after getting required moments in the final fourth step we see how to draw final bending moment diagram which consists with original loadings and also overlapped moments on the original bending moment diagram.
