Sony Sonjaya Ajukan Justice Collaborator, Siap Bongkar 'Orang Besar' di Kasus Korupsi MBG

KOMPAS TV - Former Deputy Head of the National Food Agency (BGN), Sony Sonjaya, is ready to expose the involvement of prominent parties in the alleged corruption of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG). In addition to denying allegations of a significant role, Sony Sonjaya, through his attorney, Elza Syarief, claimed to have strong evidence that could shed light on the parties involved in the process of determining the SPPG kitchen and the alleged project buying and selling practices. Elza stated that his client possesses digital data that allegedly records the parties who provided attention, proposed, and even requested the placement of kitchens at certain locations. In fact, there are 26 names recorded in the digital system that investigators can trace, including through communication traces still stored on Sony's cell phone. In addition to Elza Syarief, Sony Sonjaya's attorney, Krisna Murti, stated that Sony's request to be a justice collaborator was made because he did not want to be cornered over the alleged SPPG buying and selling. In fact, he said, these prominent figures are not figures whose requests could be refused. The request for justice collaborator is not surprising. Because, before Sony Sonjaya was removed from his position as Deputy Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BGN) and named a suspect, Sony had denied any involvement in the SPPG (Supply Fuel) sales case, including corruption involving markups in the procurement of several goods at BGN. Sony even stated that he would have no problem if all the allegations against him were investigated. This statement was made by the former Deputy Head of BGN, Sony Sonjaya, in an exclusive interview with Tribunnews on June 2, 2026, the day before his arrest by investigators from the Attorney General's Office.
