Milho Prodígio: conheça o novo cultivar da Epagri

New corn cultivar! Epagri presents an open-pollinated variety that has high productivity and greater resistance to pests, diseases, and drought. Learn all about the characteristics of Prodígio Corn. The SCS157 Prodígio, a new corn cultivar developed especially for family farming and for the conditions of Southern Brazil. In this video, you will learn about the main differences of this open-pollinated corn, which combines high productivity, hardiness, and greater resistance to drought and diseases such as the corn stunt complex. Prodígio Corn was the result of a long genetic improvement work that began in 2012 at the Epagri Family Farming Research Center in Chapecó. On average, it produces around 9,900 kg/ha, and can reach up to 12,000 kg/ha in some trials, equivalent to up to 195 sacks per hectare.
