Hardwiring Autel MaxiCharger for our Tesla's - The Fastest LVL 2 Charger on the Market

Whether you have a Tesla or other EV, getting a reliable and affordable charger is critical for a seamless experience. Although Tesla does make a really good Wall Connector, it is made specifically for Teslas and is limited in output. These specifications are in line with Tesla's own chargers onboard the Tesla Model Y and Model 3 as well as the Model S and Model X. The Autel Maxicharger AC Lite is the fastest Level 2 home charger on the market today. Where most chargers, Tesla Wall Connector included, max out at 48 amps, this charger can go all the way up to 50 amps. When properly installed with a 70 amp circuit and properly gauged wires, this level 2 charger is capable of charging at the fastest level 2 charging rate available on the market. What is really interesting is that in this install, I spec'd this out to charge at a limit of 48 amps. The reason I did this was because going from a 60 amp to 70 amp breaker was significantly more cost. That major increase in cost only gets you 2 more Amps or charge, and while that would be nice, my Model Y, Model 3 and Model X cannot charge more than 48 amps anyways. Even at 48 amps, this thing charges lightning fast. The fastest charging rates I have seen on Level 2 chargers in the past have been between 11 and 12 kWh, or up to 44 mph. This charger on the other hand, even at the same 48 amps, was able to send in a whopping 49/50 mph of charge. This is a massive charge rate and can cut time out of your charging routine, all without having to upgrade the whole panel, wires and breaker. As you look to ensure you have charging capabilities for all makes and models, it is a good idea to supplement your charging solutions with a J-1772 charger. This allows you to seamlessly charge non-teslas as well as your Teslas with the included adapter from Tesla.
