In this video, I return to the Achtuba River, where I revisit some older spots that are rarely fished these days. I'll be looking at how well these spots perform without groundbait and which fish species can currently be expected there. I'll also test a classic bait combination of crayfish, crab, and fish pellets and demonstrate why these baits remain so versatile on the Achtuba. Additionally, I'll introduce the original sturgeon groundbait mix, explain which fish species it's suitable for, and what impact it can have on the fishing spot. Besides carp and grass carp, I'll also take a look at other interesting target species and explore new areas along the river to see what other potential lies hidden there. I'll share plenty of tips on casting distance, spot selection, baiting, and the right tackle for the Achtuba's strong current.
