Exkluzivní záběry – odhalte tajemství ikonických pražských budov
In this video we take you to two of Prague's iconic buildings. Although they are separated by their history and the stories they have hidden in time, they are united by their uniqueness. You might walk past them every day and never think about how unique these buildings are inside. That's why we decided to take you inside them with our camera as part of our Live Prague series. This was made possible by the Open House Prague organization, which opens the doors of many normally inaccessible buildings for free during the festival, which this year will take place between 13 and 19 May. You can find out more at this link: https://www.openhousepraha.cz/festiva... And which houses will we get a glimpse into? The Autoclub of the Czech Republic, Opletalova, Prague 1 From the outside, an austere mansion, from the inside, a jewel created in the late 1920s by architect Pavel Janák, who was behind, for example, the Libeň Bridge or the Adria Palace. We will take you to the Heinz Lounge, where in the past the leaders of the automotive industry met and today, for example, ministers of industry meet here, then we will see the part of the building dedicated to the world's fastest woman, Eliška Junková, and finally we will visit the representative Smetana Hall. By the way, the Autoclub building is also popular among filmmakers - for example, the film One Life was filmed here and Anthony Hopkins himself walked down the staircase. If you want to learn more about the Autoclub, don't miss the celebration of 120 years of the Autoclub of the Czech Republic and 90 years of 1000 miles of Czechoslovakia. Details can be found at this link: https://www.openhousepraha.cz/2023/10... Parkhotel Praha, Veletržní, Prague 7 Are you hunting in vain in your memory for a Prague hotel with this name? Today, the building standing overlooking the Exhibition Grounds bears the name Mama Shelter Prague, but it was called Parkhotel from its construction in 1967 until 2017. The hotel is unique especially in its concept - don't expect a boring and sedentary environment, as there is a friendly, playful and colourful atmosphere. By the way, one of the rooms here, which we will also take you to, is where one of the episodes of the legendary series Arabela was filmed. The views from the upper floors of the hotel are unforgettable. Plus, the restaurant here is famous for its pizza! How do you like these iconic Prague buildings? Have you ever looked inside them?
