Since 1978, Sharon and Bram have been an integral part of family entertainment across Canada, North America and many other parts of the world. CBC's The Elephant Show, their many gold and platinum records, Juno Awards for best children's album, as well as their hundreds if not thousands of live performances have all solidified that bond with audiences of all ages. The duo was formerly a trio known as Sharon, Lois & Bram until Lois Lilienstein retired from the trio in 2000. The remaining duo of Sharon Hampson and Bram Morrison continued to perform as Sharon and Bram. This past May, Sharon and Bram announced that they would undertake a nationwide 40th anniversary farewell tour and made a point of stopping in to perform at the annual CBC Kids Day event inside the atrium of Toronto's Canadian Broadcasting Centre.
