Why does Ebola keep re-emerging?
The recent outbreak and rapid spread of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) have left governments and health agencies struggling to respond effectively. On May 17, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern. So far, there have been 635 confirmed cases and 127 deaths across three eastern provinces of the DRC.
