But before we even start trekking, we have to survive the road. The route starting from Munsiyari is notorious for a reason. We are navigating the Munsiyari-Milam stretch, a path carved directly into the jagged rock faces with a massive drop of at least 600 meters straight down into the roaring Gori Ganga River. With rough terrain, active landslide zones, and incredibly narrow ledge trails, this is arguably the most dangerous off-road route in Uttarakhand.
