This small town in the high desert of the Colorado Plateau was different from what we expected in so many ways. We met local artists at the Fruita Farmers Market, learned the story of Mike the Headless Chicken, relaxed at James M Robb State Park Fruita, and discovered incredibly scenic Colorado National Monument... how had we never heard about this place?!?
