Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce Ingredients: 4 cups of ketchup 1 cup of Apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup of worcestershire sauce 1 cup of firmly packed dark brown sugar 2 Tbsp of fresh grated onion 4 cloves of minced garlic 1 Tbsp of mustard 1 cup of honey 1 tsp of black pepper 1 tsp of salt 1/4 cup of water 4 Tbsp of cornstarch Instructions: In a large pot, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, grated onion, minced garlic, mustard, honey, black pepper and salt. Mix until well combined. Add cornstarch to water and beat for 1-2 minutes with a wire whisk, then add to the sauce and whisk for 2-3 minutes. Turn sauce on to medium heat and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking. Then turn heat down to low and simmer for an additional 20 minutes. Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, then add 1 more cup of dark brown sugar during the cooking process. If you would prefer the sauce to be thicker ,then double the cornstarch and water in the recipe.
