Why do so many people see demons during astral projection? The old hag. Shadow people. The Hat Man. Dark presences. Negative entities. Archons. That terrifying feeling of waking up unable to move, knowing something is in the room with you. I used to experience this myself. Sleep paralysis. Shadow figures. A presence so heavy it felt like something was sitting on my chest. But I don’t experience it anymore. Not because I learned a protection ritual. Not because I discovered some secret astral defence technique. Not because I mapped the astral planes and found a safer route. They stopped coming because I changed. Not from the usual fear-based perspective that says the astral is full of evil beings waiting to attack you, and not from the dismissive materialist perspective that says it is all meaningless hallucination. At its deepest level, astral projection can become almost indistinguishable from what people describe in near-death experiences: life reviews, deceased relatives, unconditional love, the light, source, God, pure consciousness, and the overwhelming recognition that what you truly are was never limited to the human story.
