JAZZING UP AN OLD GRAVEL PATH
Bunny refreshes and jazzes up an old bound gravel path. She creates a narrow and gently curving path from tumbled new York Stone setts laid on end, and then relays the bound gravel either side. The old hazels are cut down and replaced with hornbeams, planted in baseless pots to form arches at the end of each of the three metal ‘tunnels’. These lighter looking, tighter arches will form a series of frames allowing better views across both sides of the new Rose Meadow and more tightly focusing the views towards the meadow and livestock from the walled garden. Sadly Beatle, the much adored, Jack Russell, died a day before filming this, so the new path is to be called ‘Beatle’s Walk’. Beatle was a beautiful, well behaved (for a Jack Russell) who never wondered, and was very happy helping in the garden. #jackrussell #path
