Ka Guha Shanmuga | Kosalam | Vivek Sadasivam

Each composition that the great composer Koteeswara Iyer has created in the 72 melakarta ragas is a delight. Among these, the compositions in the vivadi ragas hold a special place in my heart. Kosalam has been a raga for me that has always been in mind since I first heard the beautifully tuned 'Kaani nilam vendum' sung by one of my favourite voices, Vidwan P Unnikrishnan. I've listened to it on loop many a time. Learning Ka Guha Shanmuga was therefore, a great experience for me, and since then I have always loved to feature it in my concert list, although sometimes lists dont quite work out the way you want to.
