In May, the Indian Ministry of Railways unveiled the first official image of the train for India's first high-speed rail project, tentatively known as the "Indian Shinkansen." The image depicts a streamlined, sleek train with a gray body painted in orange and gold, and a rounded nose reminiscent of Japan's Shinkansen, gliding along an elevated track through a lush green landscape. With the release of this first visual design for the Indian Shinkansen, the project has taken another step forward towards realization.
