I Won a Race with a $20 RC Radio... Why Did I Buy a Sanwa

Can a $20 RC transmitter really compete with a premium radio system? For this test, I left my trusted Sanwa MT44 aside and equipped my VTA race car with a budget Hott RC CT6A transmitter and receiver setup. Instead of doing a few comparison laps, I committed to using the inexpensive radio for an entire race weekend, including practice, qualifying, and the main event. The result was surprising. Despite costing only around $20, the CT6A provided reliable control, consistent performance, and everything I needed to race competitively. In fact, I was able to win the event and never felt limited by the radio system. In this video, I share my honest experience, compare the budget transmitter to my Sanwa MT44, and discuss whether expensive RC radios actually make you faster on the track.
