THE RUNNING MAN (1987) - MOVIE REACTION - First Time Watching

Hello all! Here is my reaction to The Running Man (1987) Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger! I wanted to react to this in anticipation for the 2025 "The Running Man" coming to theaters this week!!! I enjoyed this one much more than I was expecting! Stay Tuned! ________________________________ In the year 2019, the United States has become a totalitarian police state where the government uses violent television shows to control and distract the population. One of the most popular programs is “The Running Man,” a deadly game show where convicted criminals must survive against a group of ruthless, themed assassins known as “Stalkers.” Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a former police officer, is framed for a massacre he tried to prevent and is forced to participate in the show. Alongside fellow rebels, he’s hunted through a ruined city by the Stalkers while the public watches, cheering for his death. As the game unfolds, Richards turns the tables on his pursuers, exposes government lies, and becomes a symbol of resistance against the corrupt regime. The film combines high-octane action with sharp social satire, exploring themes of media manipulation, state control, and the hunger for spectacle.
