Problem: The electric starter feels heavy when pressed and sticky. The kick starter/cranking feels very heavy. If forced, it can start but with excessive force when depressing the kickstarter. If the engine does start, the left side of the crankcase will feel hot (beyond normal temperature). How to fix: Open the left side of the crankcase. Remove the magnet. Check the condition of the one-way valve; it's usually worn. If there's no authorized Viar tricycle repair shop in your area, the one-way valve can be replaced with a Yamaha Scorpio one (exactly the same). However, it's better to replace the one-way valve with an original Viar Karya 300 valve. The roller shape is different, but it can still be easily installed on the Viar Karya 200 (Plug and Play).
