Du Gala de la Terre à la Belle Époque : Julie Fuchs chante l'âme de la mélodie française

Considered one of the most exciting singers of her generation, French soprano Julie Fuchs has dazzled audiences from Paris to Vienna, by way of La Scala in Milan and the Aix-en-Provence Festival. Equally at home in the operatic repertoire, with iconic roles such as Marie (La Fille du régiment), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), and Juliette (Romeo and Juliet), as in chamber music, she is a recipient of three Victoires de la Musique awards, a laureate of the Operalia competition, and a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. For her first appearance at the Lanaudière Festival, she will present two programs. The first will be a performance at the iconic Gala de la Terre with the Agora Orchestra and its conductor, Nicolas Ellis, and the second will take place at the Saint-Ambroise Church, where, with pianist Alphonse Cemin, she will present a vocal recital. In both cases, the spirit of French melody will permeate these interpretations, subtly evoking 20th-century Paris.
