In this video CK Wraps shows us different carbon fiber films, how to get down with our Carbon Fiber Wrap and some super helpful tips and tricks. Additional Gloss Carbon Fiber Installation Tips: -When applying Tinybot’s 6D Carbon Fiber, we recommend tucking the vinyl in further and/or behind the panels compared to our other films. -Due to the dual layer characteristics of this film water may enter the layers. Tucking the vinyl further and using our tips will help prevent water from entering into the layers of the vinyl. -If water does enter and create swirl marks, let it dry, and within 45 minutes, it will go back to its normal state. -When applying this 6D carbon, please do not overstretch. If over stretched, it can weaken the bond between the laminate and base film. -Our final recommendation is the use of 3M gloss edge sealer tape (3M 8914ES). 3M edge sealer tape is recommended on edges that cannot be tucked in further exposing it to water entering in. This tape may also be used with edges tucked in as an extra precautionary step to ensure no water gets in during washing or rainy days. -These points are here to help you and have been compiled with feedback from wrap shops, customers, and our R&D team.
