In this video, we'll show you how to recognize at a glance the various types of fire extinguishers in use, and consequently, the fuels on which they are recommended for use. The international standard UNI EN 2:2005 classifies fires into five categories, based on the type of combustible material present: A: fires involving solids; B: fires involving liquids; C: fires involving gases; D: fires involving metals; F: fires involving oils and greases. In addition, there is the eliminated Class E, which covered fires involving electrical systems. In the video, we'll also use a fire extinguisher to put out a small fire, providing some practical advice.
