First Impressions of Kathmandu !

Welcome to Episode 4 of my Nepal Travel Series! 🇳🇵 After finally reaching Kathmandu, I stepped out to explore the city and share my first impressions of Nepal's capital. The adventure started with a surprise at an ATM where I was charged a huge 600 NPR withdrawal fee 😳💸. While walking through the famous Thamel Market, I noticed something unexpected—many shops and businesses had Chinese signboards and Chinese names everywhere. It was a very different experience from what I had imagined before coming to Nepal. To explore more of the city, I booked a bike ride using the Yango app and headed towards the historic Durbar Square. There, I visited the ancient royal palace where Nepalese kings once lived hundreds of years ago and explored the rich history and architecture of Kathmandu.
