Arcanum review: How does it compare to heavy hitters like Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape: Torment?

So Arcanum of Steamworks and Magick obscura came out ahead of Baldur's Gate 2 on my Top 10 games from the 2000's. I regret nothing! this is my favorite infinite engine based isometric RPG. Arcanum was one of the many CRPGS that came out between 1998 and 2004: Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2 Shadows of Amn, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale 2, Planescape: Torment and Temple of Elemental Evil complete the list of the most popular infinity engine based games that came out around that time.
